Just wrapped a quick talk at TEDx SiliconAlley. Here is video of my talk along with a PDF of my deck. Great line-up of speakers and streamed live out to the world by LiveStream.

What was web tech 10 years ago?
Sunday, September 11, 2011
Screenshot By Mark Rosal
This morning Mark Rosal of Visual Gooodness (@visualgoodness) posted on their blog two screen shots of CNN’s website after it went down and came back online on September 11th, 2001. The attack on this country was 10 years ago. Can you believe that? Looking at the CNN website that Mark posted made me realize a couple things. First, I looked at where I was then and now. I remember being swept up in the sadness of the tragedy that day. Now, I’m getting married in less than a month. Second, I thought about how web technology and consumer technology as a whole has progressed. How much has changed for you personally and professionally in the last 10 years?

Letter from Scott Heiferman of MeetUp
Saturday, September 10, 2011Tomorrow is 9/11/11. The 10th anniversary of 9|11. And most of you know that. I’ve met people that can’t point out foreign nations on maps and sometimes even status in our country but not someone yet who does not know about 9|11.
I just received this letter from Scott Heiferman, the Co-Founder and CEO of Meetup. At last look it was not available on their homepage. It was a good old-fashioned email sent to Meetup account holders (Meetuppers). I never knew the history of Meetup. It’s just one of those startup darlings that just seems to have always just been there. But if it was not for 9|11 it may never have. Read the letter from Scott

PSFK Liked My Take On The Classic Business Card
Saturday, October 3, 2009
The fine crew over at PSFK liked the business card I gave them last Thursday so much that they decided to feature it on their homepage on Friday. All of the new content from Friday was sent out this morning at 2 a.m. in their newsletter, New Ideas & Trends Inspiration. My work is published together in the same newsletter and on the same page with Shepard Fairy, Maurice Sendak and Alex Bogusky. I’m having a pretty good day so far. Thank you very much PSFK!Continue reading about this different approach to a business card
